Mireli E. of Spring, Texas, has been renting out her bike on Twisted Road. And reviews like, "the bike was gorgeous and ran like a dream" and "this Street Glide is kept in great condition and had all the tech I wanted to try out," should make you want to rent a motorcycle in Houston to check out her beautiful bike. Before you take off, Mireli will share with you some insider routes, stops and sites not to be missed.

How long have you been riding, which bikes have you owned, and how you did you become interested in riding? 

I have owned two Street Glides and I’ve been riding since I was old enough to hang on with my dad. I had a 2007 then traded it in for a 2018 Street Glide Special which I am now having to sell.

What moto trips have you taken (long or short)? Where did you go, stay, and explore? Tell us some highlights. 

The longest trip we took was from Houston to Louisiana. I have bad knees and have to stop pretty often to stretch my legs so it’s kind of hard to ride farther.

Tell us some more about you - where do you live? What kind of work do you do?

I live in Spring, Texas close to the Woodlands. I have been unemployed since October due to Covid-19, but normally I work corporate jobs as Director of Administration.

What are your hobbies? What do you enjoy doing when you're not riding?

When I’m not riding, I’m out on the lake in our boat. We have a Blackfin 272.

Tell us about your experiences with Twisted Road - as either an owner, as a rider, or both. What do you enjoy most about being part of our community?

Twisted Road has been amazing through and through; it’s the only site I have my bike listed on. Twisted road has definitely been amazing to me and I’m sure to others. They always reply right away and help me with any issues. I have met some of the sweetest people who often bring me stuff from their trips as well as sweet thank you cards and sometimes tip me. My husband and I have been super busy so we don’t ride as much anymore. The bike just sits in the garage so it’s great that others get to enjoy it when we can’t. The extra cash helps pay for the bike itself so it’s great. I eventually want to sell it and get something else. A added bonus is that have met some really great people renting with Twisted Road, especially a biker couple who choose not to have a home, they just travel and camp out wherever they go. 

What are your favorite rides near your hometown? 

Definitely to Lake Conroe which has lots of family-friendly biker bars and restaurants on the lake.

What location is on your moto trip bucket list?

I definitely want a scenic route, not sure yet where but we’re working on it. Suggestions are always welcome!
