From themed helmets to lovingly hand-crafted originals, this impressive list barely scratches the surface of the stunning, sweet, and sometimes shocking designs we've come across. 

1. Ruroc Helmets

For helmets that run the gamut from futuristic to whimsical, Ruroc Helmets have something for every personality. We especially love the colorful, vivid Cinco De Madness (pictured below) of the Berzerker line and their Reaper helmet (which you'll just have to click to see) from the Atlas line. 2. AETHER Helmets 

AETHER is a complete lifestyle collection for urban-dwelling, design-focused, well-traveled people. Its founders were inspired to create something they couldn’t find. As such, they offer one-of-a-kind motorcycle helmetsthat are both works of art and road-ready, with all proceeds benefit Riders for Health. The company's VELDT Artist Helmets feature motorcycle helmet graphics designed by named artists. A few of our favorites (pictured below) include artist Susan Walsh's cosmos-inspired helmet, Damien Davis' helmet exploring the representation of race through design, and Leah Tinari's helmet that vividly captures water in motion. 3. AirGraphix Helmets

Air Graphix creates custom paint designs using a diamond-hard, automotive-grade, high gloss urethane clear coat that for a long-lasting effect. Their incredible motorcycle helmet graphics will turn heads while protecting yours. We love how their helmets delve into pop culture, ranging from silly (hello, Cookie Monster Helmet) to gruesome (The Joker is unsettling); one of our favorites is the tiki-inspired beauty below. 

4. Hot Dog Kustoms Helmets

Pete "Hot Dog" Finlan has been in the painting industry since 1981, graphically upgrading, cars, trucks, motorcycles, and helmets. Pete has won awards, been featured on TV, and was head painter of West Coast Choppers during its "Monster Garage" era. His custom creations show the range of his talent -- from pinpoint-perfect lines to rich hues and creative designs. 5. Custom Lab Studio Helmets

Peruse the Instagram of Custom Lab Studio to see high-touch motorcycle helmet art; if you're brave, click through to their site -- then use Google Translate to read about their personalized and innovative (mobile art workshop, anyone?) approach creates some of the coolest caps out there. From lettering with sharp flourishes to brand logos, no creative task is too tough for this team of artisans (witness the gold-leafing below). This growing team of creators has a rotating team of specialists, with plastic artists, designers, and more, who are passionate about developing creative projects.

6. WallPosy Wood Helmets

Jessica of WallPosy Wood is a wood-burning artist based in Portland, OR.. She is adapting her unique art form to several media and really appreciates working on commissions, as she loves the challenge as an artist, as well as the stories behind the pieces that others dream up. 7. Blaze Artworks Helmets

Blaze ArtWorks transforms dull Motorcycle helmets into unique hand-painted statements. 8.  Demata Design Helmets

Located in Mexico, Demata is a design space that will help you bring your creative ideas to life. See their bespoke designs for ideas. The team will take you through concept to development, leaving you with the creative helmet you dreamt up. Their custom motos and gear are truly works of art. As an example, see the astrological-inspired helmet below, complete with galaxy and gold visor.

9. Inknife

Bob Hansen, founder of Inknife, has over 20 years of experience in drawing, painting and printing. His artwork ranges from silly to serious and adorns posters, helmets, signs, skateboards and more. Peruse his portfolio to find bold graphic motorcycle helmets nestled among other art pieces. We adore the helmet below -- its like a time machine taking us right back to the glitter-infused 70s (with a sense of humor). 

10. Rekairbrush Helmets

Billed as "your one stop shop for your custom airbrush painted motorcycle helmets and motorcycles" you can find everything from motorcycle helmet decals to custom helmets. This team's airbrush artwork is done utilizing high-end automotive paints, coasted with high gloss clearcoat for long-lasting durability. We love the handkerchief-inspired metallic skull helmet (pictured below) and don't miss another iteration of this theme on their site with more skulls donning handkerchiefs -- and so many more creative artistic visions.
