With tractor-like torque, nimble handling and a suspension that inspires confidence on and off road, I had wanted an R1200GS for a long time before I finally pulled the trigger on this bike – it hasn't disappointed. As for comfort, it has a great Sargent seat for the rider, factory (removeable) pillion with an adjustable backrest. I installed a 2" set of Rox risers to give a little more comfortable standing position. The windshield is a Cee Bailey and is manually adjustable for height/angle. Factory heated grips with foam covers (super comfortable) and two 12-volt plug tails to power heated gear, charge a phone, etc. Front tire is a Michelin Anakee Wild with 95% tread (radial knobby, 70/30 dirt/street bias), rear is a brand new Shinko 705 (50/50 dirt/street) going into the 2023 riding season. Makes for a great combo whether you want to bomb around on dirt roads or fly down the highway. If needed, the bike can be equipped with a pair of factory lockable/expandable hard bags as well as a sip-on tank bag of rather large capacity. The bike needs nothing, could go to Alaska tomorrow!
