The XSR900 combines vintage design elements with modern naked-bike engineering in a satisfying way. Its basis is a three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 847cc engine borrowed from the previous FZ-09. With its MotoGP-bred crossplane crankshaft, that engine provides gutsy power delivery, a pleasant vibration signature, and a unique ripsaw sound. The inverted fork and shock offer only modest adjustability, but the triple disc brakes have standard ABS. The XSR900 has contemporary 17-inch wheels, allowing a wide choice of replacement rubber. The bread-loaf-shaped 3.7-gallon fuel tank nestles atop the aluminum frame just so, and lightening holes punched in the headlight mounting ears and subframe plates look right. Thin-spoke cast wheels, an abbreviated headlight and fenders, a thin instrument display, and a minimalist muffler further impart an aura of lightness . Rapid Red paint completes this future classic. Fitted with the Akrapovic Racing exhaust to boost it's agility it's just awesome to ride. Comes with a tail bag and quad lock mount and phone charger. Vikram was really helpful, gave a good advice about Austin roads and routes to take for my ride (me being a rookie rider here). The bike was also pretty well kept and pretty fun to ride. I had a smooth experience renting here

Bike had worn tires which Vikram said (should be fine but yeah they’re near end of life). I believed him, but little did I know if I had rotated the tire a little I would have seen about a foot long area in the tire where the METAL CHORDS WERE SHOWING. Having the chords showing was incredibly dangerous and probably could have killed me. I returned early.

This guy has been nothing but deceptive and manipulative to me. First he gave me a bike that almost killed me and now I’m being charged $2k for damage I didn’t do.

Many thanks to Vikram and Twisted Road! This was my first time using twistedroad.com, so I wasn’t sure how it would go. As it turned out, everything went flawlessly! Vikram provided great information. I wish I had asked his opinions when planning my trip. He was friendly and accommodating. Vikram’s XSR 900 was in perfect condition and what a great motorcycle that is! I rode it around Austin and out into The Hill Country. It is a fun versatile bike!

Most importantly, he provided his bike in perfect working order and communicated responsively the few times I reached out to him.
