While the overall design of the 2013 R1200GS emphasizes its multi-use nature, the multiple riding modes and rider aids do a lot to expand its capabilities. Five riding modes (switchable on the fly) influence all the electronic rider aids: Dynamic, Road, Rain, Enduro and Enduro Pro. Each mode varies settings for the ride-by-wire “E-gas” throttle response, ABS and ASC (BMW’s traction control) intervention, as well as how the “semi-active” Dynamic ESA varies compression and rebound damping as you ride. The wet slipper clutch (now located at the front of the engine) offers a pleasantly light pull and easy modulation from its four-position-adjustable lever, and the new six-speed gearbox proved to have excellent shift quality. It is more responsive to steering input and feels more connected to the road. The windscreen can be cranked up or down (1.6 total turns) with a big knob on the dash. Airflow is much better and smoother in all positions. Comes with Ram mount, phone charger, tank bag, touratech panniers, touratech crashbars, heated grips, and electronic cruise control. Vikram was very helful and flexible. The bike was in great shape with new tires. Only little thing was that the cruise control was not working - but I did not really need it during the four-day Texas Hill Country trip that I took.

Great Bike and Great Owner!! This was our first rental with Twisted Road. The bike was as advertised and fully equipped for long distance touring. The bike was well maintained and the owner provided us with local knowledge. Vikram was very accommodating; he stored our luggage and offered waters and a place to change in and out of our riding gear. He went over the operation of the bikes accessories and roadside tools.
